Kansas State Fair

Earlier this month, our daughters had a chance to perform twice at the Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson. It was a really hot opening weekend (102 degrees) but we managed to stay cool in-between sets.

Their first performance was at Gottschalk Gazebo at 2:30 in the afternoon. We were thrilled to see that a tent had been set up for the audience for shade, so we helped pull some benches inside.

The next performance was at 5:00 PM at Lake Talbot Stage. This setting turned out to be much cooler with the shade trees and air blowing in off the lake. It was also fun to watch the brave souls in the background gliding over the lake on the zip line.

The girls even had a few youngsters dancing to their "sad" songs.

Each set was an hour-long, so the girls had a nice opportunity to share their new songs as well as some old favorites.

Their next performance will be Galesburg Days on Saturday, September 21 during the city-wide barbecue dinner. If you live in the area, be sure to join us!
