Here in Kansas we've had a stint of frigid cold weather that's kept us in the house more than usual. On these cold nights, I like to light candles, drink warm tea or cocoa, watch a favorite movie or play cards and board games. Some of my favorite games to play are Phase 10, (a card game similar to rummy), Yahtzee, Monopoly and Scrabble. I have an uncanny ability to win Yahtzee so my husband refuses to play with me, but my youngest is a good challenger, and we've been known to get into some whopper fights with Monopoly, but Scrabble is a pretty safe game.
What about you? Do you have a favorite way to spend cold winter nights?
