Mailbox Monday

It's that time of year -- tax time. If I had my way, I'd put this task off for as long as possible, but we have a daughter in college eager to get her financial aid papers turned in. So forgive me, my mind is all muddled from piles of paperwork and numbers.

Because of that, I thought today would be a good time to post another Mailbox Monday! I always enjoy receiving letters and emails from my readers. Here's one from a fellow horse-lover!

Hi Deborah,
Just wanted to let you know that I just finished reading your book "Snow Melts in Spring". I loved it and just couldn't put it down. I have always loved horses, even though I don't own one. But I have horse pictures and trinkets throughout my home. It's my dream to have a horse ranch one day.  Thanks for writing this book. I'm going to purchase the second book in this series soon. Keep writing!!! Blessings, DS

And another . . .

I am enjoying your book about Mattie the Doc from the Flint Hills. I am looking forward to the next story and hope it has a lot of landscapes and horses in it. And already good old Goethe said, that every good book has to have a little travel report in it and at least one good recipe. Please notify me when the book about the Wild Horses in the Flint Hills is published. Thank you - GM

And the last one for today:

Hi Deb,
Just a note to let you know how much I enjoyed reading your novel SEEDS OF SUMMER.   I loved it...absolutely loved it...You are an amazing author and storyteller. I'm looking forward to reading more of your work, Deb. As a matter of fact, I didn't realize that this was Book Two of the Seasons of the Tallgrass series until I was well into this novel. I am anxious to read Book One in this series now. I also enjoy visiting (and following) your blog. Thank you for sharing your delicious recipes, too. Blessings to you and yours. KK
