County Fair ~ Horse Show

Here are some pictures from the horse show at our county fair. The horse show is held on Sunday from 8:00 AM-3:30 PM. Lots of hours in the sun and heat. Some of the events held during the day are Horse Showmanship and Halter Class, which are done from the ground. After that are the riding classes--Horsemanship, Pleasure, Reining and Trail, and then the show concludes with the timed events--barrels, poles and flag race.

Above is our oldest daughter on "Larry" in the trail class. This was her last year in 4-H, and she wanted to enter Larry in all of the events. She came back with all colors of ribbons, including Reserve Champion in the halter class. The horse project is her favorite, as she loves riding Larry in the arena throughout the fair.
