New Year's Resolutions & Goals

Here we are at the end of another year and ready to rush forward to the new. That's me. I love Christmas and everything that goes with it--the decorations, the twinkling lights, the music and special foods, but after awhile, my head won't take any more, and I simply must clean house--pack up the tree and throw out the 2-week old cookies to the dogs.

The New Year is also a good time to pack up your old bad habits and start fresh with new resolutions, new goals. Of course, that means I'm going to lose those pounds I've been carrying with me for too long now, and I'm going to focus more on my writing and less on email and surfing the net. Funny though. In looking back through my old journals, those two resolutions seem to carry forward every year . . . with little result. Will this be the year I meet my goals? In such unsteady economic times, when people are losing their jobs and businesses are going under, I'm wondering if my goals shouldn't shift somehow.

What about you? What resolutions or goals do you have for 2009?

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation:
the old has gone, the new has come!"
